Mark & Mandy Pardue

About Mark & Mandy’s flowers…

Mandy is my good friend from high school and when she said she got engaged right after I decided to do floral design, I jumped on the chance to work with her. She needed flowers and I needed experience!

I approached her about flowers but she didn’t want real flowers due to the cost. She also wanted a bridal bouquet that she could preserve, so she thought a silk bouquet would fit the bill. I talked her into letting me quote what she wanted with real flowers. I would get practice doing proposals and quotes and I had a hunch that the real flowers would be comparable to the cost of silk.

We met two times to discuss the flowers and I came up with a proposal and quote based on what she said that she wanted. The real flowers we much less expensive than what she thought they would be and we compromised on her bouquet; I would make a bouquet with real flowers and a bouquet with silk that she could have as a keepsake.

When her wedding day came it was a dream come true. Mandy did all the planning for her wedding and every detail was perfect. And the flowers turned out more amazing than I could have imagined for my first wedding. We were all elated with how everything worked out. It was such an amazing experience for me and I could not have had a more perfect first bride!

What Mandy had to say…

“As a bride who thought she was going to do silk flowers for her wedding, I am so thankful Laurilyn Farms’ uniquely beautiful work changed my mind. I had been watching the local flower farm journey on Instagram, and loved how all the designs were so different and refreshing. When Lauren told me she was thinking about doing wedding floral designs, I tossed out the silk flowers and put down a deposit.

Working with Lauren was so easy and seamless. Wedding planning is probably the most stressful thing I have ever done, but Lauren alleviated some of my stress and took care of everything floral. During our consultation, she asked for my wedding colors, wedding party numbers, other floral design needs and favorite flowers. I gave her complete creative control because I had no clue what I wanted. I just said, “Go for it!” and I was not disappointed.

On the day of the wedding, Lauren arrived with the loveliest bouquets and boutonnieres.

Words cannot describe how happy I was with the finished product.

I do not even think pictures do the arrangements justice. Lauren was right on time and had our reception tables looking beautiful. Everything was perfect right down to the succulent party gifts. On the most important day of your life, it is good to be surrounded by kind, trustworthy, and helpful professionals. Lauren helped make our day stunning. Mark and I are so thankful we chose Laurilyn Farms.”

About Richmond and Dakota’s flowers…

Dakota was a laid back bride. She had seen my work and loved my style. However, she didn’t care about the specific blooms that would be used so she gave me lots of freedom to create something amazing for her.

Her wedding was at the beginning of our growing season at the farm so we didn’t have a ton of our locally grown flowers to use. But we did have nigella seed pods and I added those to the bouquets for some additional interest. I love using interesting bits of texture in my floral design. It took her typical wedding color palette of green and white to the next level!

What Richmond and Dakota had to say…

“Laurilyn Farms was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. Lauren was so easy to work with and made our entire floral experience a breeze. After showing her a few pictures from Pinterest and chatting briefly, she single-handedly made our vision a reality. Lauren created a variety of sample centerpieces incorporating our own decorations and some of hers allowing us to provide our opinions before creating the final version.

Laurilyn not only made our bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, but she also helped decorate our cake with flowers, added greenery to our reception decorations, and made our ceremony aisle and arch exactly what we envisioned.

We would recommend Laurilyn Farms to any couple looking for someone to help make their wedding experience a dream come true!”

 Frank and Allie Lee

About Frank and Allie’s flowers…

A mutual acquaintance gave Allie’s mom my information after Allie’s wedding florist didn’t have her wedding on the books. I spoke with Allie’s mother for the first time 3 weeks before the wedding. Allie needed only personal flowers and I didn’t have another wedding booked that weekend so I took the job.

I quickly sent a proposal and quote over to Allie and her mother. In my proposals, I send several pictures of different style bouquets with different elements and all different sizes so the bride can tell me what they like and don’t like about the bouquets. This gives me a good idea of what to do and what NOT to do with the wedding flowers. I sent 13 pictures of bouquets and Allie gave me very detailed notes on each one. I was a little intimidated. I was wondering if I was going to be able to make something she would love, which is always my goal. I could tell from the detailed notes she gave me and from a few requests for certain flowers that held special meaning that everything I used in her flowers would be appreciated.

What a joy it was to work with Allie and her mother. I have never met Allie in person, but I met her mom the day of the wedding when I delivered the flowers. She cried happy tears because she knew Allie would love the flowers. The best response I could have received! And when I received Allie’s email after the wedding I was assured that she loved her flowers. The best!

What Allie had to say…

“Lauren! You are an amazing flower wizard! The flowers were so perfect from a distance and up close. The colors were so happy and balanced! You used different textures but it all flowed together. The shape was beautiful and whimsical without falling apart.

I have no idea what a lot of these flowers even are but they conveyed the perfect wildflower feeling - stuff that looks like Queen Anne’s Lace and dandelions, but prettier!! Roses, dahlias - so gorgeous!! The greenery is perfect, gives the rhododendron feeling, and just the right proportion! These things that are balls, like little pearls and little gourds are just so cool! There was even dead stuff!

I loved it all so much! I can’t stop looking at it and I’m completely amazed at how you did it!

Scott and Megan Bechman

About Scott and Megan’s flowers…

Megan contacted me after she found me on Facebook. She had a boho, geometric, rustic and glam theme. I must say I was a bit intimidated when she submitted that answer to my question of “describe the style of your wedding” on the questionnaire I sent her. I spoke with her on the phone and did some thinking and we came up with a basic outline of what she wanted.

Megan’s wedding was at the end of our growing season for our flowers and I was so happy that I was able to use lots of our locally grown flowers in the bouquets and arbor. Everything about that day was beautiful. And most important of all, she loved her flowers.

What Scott and Megan had to say…

“The flowers were amazing! More than I could of imagined!

Thank you again for everything!”

 Ashley & Seth Ragsdale

About Ashley and Seth’s flowers…

Ashley found me through a post that Huff Photography made about my flowers at Mandy and Mark’s wedding. Ashley said she was on a tight budget but that flowers were very important to her! We went through my quote and proposal process and Ashley booked me for her big day.

A month or so before the wedding, Ashley contacted me about honoring the memory of her mother who had passed away by giving each of the ladies in her wedding party a single stem to carry down the aisle and place in a basket at the front of the church. How special. I loved this idea! I updated her proposal and looked forward to her wedding.

When her day arrived, I was so in love with how her flowers turned out! My sister made the delivery that day and allowed me to spend some much needed time with my two kiddos (sisters/aunts are amazing!). I was anxious to hear from Jerilyn how the delivery went and how Ashley felt about her flowers. I got the call from my sis….only to find out I had totally spaced sending her with the single stems to honor Ashley’s mom. I was mortified. It is always a humbling experience to understand and embrace that you are not perfect. My sister and I got it figured out and we had single stems for Ashley and her ladies to carry. Ashley was so cool about it all. And now I have a new process in place to make sure something like that does not get missed again!

What Ashley and Seth had to say…

“Lauren and her sister, Jerilyn, we’re so easy and wonderful to work with on our wedding flowers! They took our ideas and Pinterest boards and made them come to life, all while fitting it into our budget.

We highly recommend Laurilyn Farms to soon-to-be brides and anyone in need of beautiful floral arrangements!”
